From playing for practice to multi-tabling for experts, we’ve got tournaments to suit all poker players right here at Genting Poker. Take your pick from bankroll-building freerolls to MTTs with six and sometimes seven figure prize pools.
An MTT is a Multi Table Tournament, where typically more than 10 players are playing in one tournament, until one player has won all of the chips. MTT’s can range from 20 or 30 players right up to some of the massive ones with several thousand entrants.
The WSOP Main Event, held annually in Las Vegas is probably the best example of an MTT, with c. 6000 players starting on 600 poker tables and playing down to a final table of 9, with 1 player ultimately winning all the chips.
Find the right tournament for you
MTT’s offer a player the ability to play a lot of poker, and limit the amount spent. If you buy into a £20 tournament, the maximum you stand to lose is your buy in. You can’t top up. And unless you are playing in a Rebuy (see below) you will only ever lose that £20...but you can win big!
You’ll find some action to suit your tastes at Genting Poker 24 hours a day.
Choose from the following types:
Freerolls
Scheduled tournaments with no entry fee and a fixed start time. With no risk of losing cash, Freerolls are a great way to practise your poker skills. But they’re not just for fun, skillful players use Freerolls to build a bankroll of buy-ins for bigger tournaments without having to cough up their own cash.
Sit N Gos
Instant action, 24/7. You turn up, register and when the table’s full the tourney starts. Finish in the top two or three (depending on table size) and you’ll cash in, or try a Heads Up tournament for a quick-fire, quick-win showdown.
Double Up tournaments are a great way to increase your bankroll. Half the field share the pot, just finish in the top half and you'll double your money

Scheduled
Multi-table tournaments (MTTs) are where the serious money is won. Register for your seat and play ‘til you’re out. Last player standing wins the biggest prize, but you’ll cash anywhere down to 150th place (depending on tournament size).
Scheduled tournaments are usually split into Freezeouts, where you’re out of the game once you lose your chips, and Rebuys. If you get unlucky in the early stages of a rebuy tournament you can buy more chips, giving you another chance of winning. What’s more, everyone’s rebuy fees go into the prize pool – meaning more cash up for grabs at the end of the tournament.
Land Based
Land-based casino tournaments offer the ultimate poker experience. If you want to transfer your skills from the web to the baize, you’ll find regular satellites for all the top events at Genting Poker.
As part of the Genting group, we offer exclusive satellites to the major tournaments in our UK casinos. From satellites to £100 tournaments in Stoke, or £1000 tournaments in London, we offer a wide range of satellites to suit every pocket.
